SuperSport United midfielder Aubrey Modiba has explained that the South African side is delighted to have reached their first CAF Confederation Cup final.
United have shown incredible form in cup competitions in recent times. Last season they were runners-up in the Telkom Knockout before going on to win a second successive Nedbank Cup title.
Earlier this month they defeated Cape Town City in the final of the MTN8, and last weekend they claimed a 3-1 away win over Club Africain to seal a place in the Confed Cup final.
Matsatsantsa will face defending champions and DR Congo heavyweights TP Mazembe over two legs in November.
"It feels great to be in another final. This is my fourth final since I joined SuperSport last season. This is why I joined the team. I hope we win so that we win more trophies for the club. It’s good to be part of history with the team and it’s also good for my CV," he told Kick-Off.
"I have not missed a game in the Confed Cup. I am only one who has played every game and I am happy. It shows that there is something I am doing right. I just have to keep performing consistently.
“Credit to the coaches for giving me the opportunity. My family has also been supporting me. It’s not only about me, but about the team as well."
United and TPM have met twice in the continental competition already this year, drawing both of their clashes in the group phase. Modiba notably netted in a 2-2 draw in DRC in June.
"We know about them. It’s not like we don’t know what to expect. They are a good side and it will be tough. It will be a different ball game because it’s a final. Everyone will want to perform," Modiba added.
"I was happy to score against Mazembe. It’s a big team on the continent. Not everyone gets to score in Lubumbashi."
