Township Rollers midfielder Lemponye Tshireletso says they will be looking to build on their excellent start to the 2017/18 Botswana Premier League (BPL) campaign when they face Gilport Lions.

The BPL encounter will take place at the National Stadium in Gaborone as Rollers look to register their seventh consecutive victory and also maintain their lead at the top of the league standings.

Nicknamed FC, Tshireletso told Rollersfc.com that the defending BPL champions Rollers will give 16th-placed Lions, who have won only one match out of six league games this season, due respect.

“Gilport is a premier league club and we respect them regardless of their position on the log," Tshireletso said.

"Being the champions, we know that every team that plays us tends to raise their game even if they are considered underdogs," the winger added.

"But we are confident; There is team spirit, there is unity in our camp, and we will take each game as it comes.

“We are there to collect the points, so we will keep going forward, but we always add caution to our game because we know teams are always looking for gaps to exploit us."
