Al Ahly have received a huge blow ahead of the second leg of the CAF Champions League final away in Morocco against Wydad Casablanca.
The clash will be staged on Saturday after last weekend's 1-1 draw, but the Red Devils will be without experienced midfielder Hossam Ashour.

The 31-year-old, who sustained a groin injury in Ahly's 4-1 win over Ragaa in an Egyptian Premier League game early October, also missed the first-leg of the CAFChampions League final and is set to miss the second leg as well.
"Ashour is still undergoing rehabilitation due to his groin muscle strain. He is very unlikely to play on Saturday," Ahly Doctor Khaled Mahmoud said on the club's official website.
Ashour's absence deepens Ahly's troubles as left-winger Ali Maaloul and defender Rami Rabia are also doubtful for the game due to injuries.
Coach Hossam El-Badry and his troops will need to score an away goal to stand a chance of lifting their first Champions League trophy since 2013.
