Nigerian international Henry Onyekuru has been nominated for Anderlecht’s Goal of the Month for October 2017.
The Super Eagles striker’s goals against Standard Liege (October 1) and KV Mechelen (October 13) are amongst five strikes in the running for the award, with teammates Pieter Gerkens and Hamdi Harbaoui also vying for the prize.
The 20-year-old has scored six goals in 12 Belgian top flight appearances so far this season and played 79 minutes of Anderlecht’s 5-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
Onyekuru has also been named in Nigeria’s squad for their upcoming matches against Algeria and Argentina.
