PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: Thomas Partey - Ghanaian nets wonder goal

Ghana international Thomas Partey continued his goal-scoring form with a cracking strike for Atletico Madrid in a 1-1 draw against Qarabag in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday evening.

The goal, Partey's first in Europe's premier cup competition, was not enough, though, to lead the club to all three points as the Spanish giants remain winless in Group C.

The 24-year-old is set to enjoy his most fruitful campaign yet, having cemented a place in the club's starting 11 of late.

Having found his scoring boots, Partey is quickly establishing himself as an integral member of the squad - and will be hoping to continue the trend as Atleti turn their attention back to Spanish La Liga action.
