Nigeria national team coach Gernot Rohr will not rush goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama back into the national team set up.

According to the Super Eagles communications boss, Toyin Ibitoye, the coach is aware that Enyeama is back in action for his French club Lille OSC.

Rohr has never hidden his love for the ex-Super Eagles number one and skipper who only recently returned from a six months injury absence.

Ibitoye said the coach is excited with the news, but he is monitoring the keeper's situation at club level.

”Rohr is aware that Enyeama is back in training, and not only that he is excited but he won’t be rushed back into the team. Rohr is monitoring his situation at Lille,“ Ibitoye said to ownGoalNigeria.

Enyeama is back in training with Lille, but is yet to play a game this season after coach Marcelo Bielsa axed him alongside 10 others from his first team upon his appointment as coach.

Bielsa brought in two new goalkeepers, but their poor form has made the coach likely to hand a reprieve to Enyeama.

The French Ligue1 outfit is struggling to win games and is languishing at number 19 in the 20-team league.
