Cape Town City have confirmed that striker Victor Obinna will be out of action for around three weeks as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

The burly Nigerian picked up said injury in the Citizens 1-0 win over Free State Stars in midweek.

The 30-year-old, though, might be ready for the club's next encounter with the upcoming international break giving Obinna time to recover.

City's next fixture is at home to current Absa Premiership leaders Baroka FC on the 22nd of November. The Telkom Knockout holders exited this year's competition at the first round, falling to Bakgaga 1-0 in Polokwane.

The former Inter Milan and West Ham United forward has scored one goal in eight appearances for the club this season.
