Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane believes Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabo Qalinge is closing in on a national team call-up.
The 26-year-old has impressed for the Buccaneers this season and scored the winning goal as the club trumped Golden Arrows 1-0 to book their place in the quarterfinals of the Telkom Knockout Cup.
Teammate Thembinkosi Lorch and Qalinge caught the eye of Mosimane in the Brazilians 3-1 win over Pirates in midweek, and 'Jingles' is confident that the latter is nearing a Bafana Bafana cap.

"I have never seen Qalinge and Lorch so revived, it's unbelievable," said Mosimane.
"They are showing, especially Qalinge, that he deserves a chance also for Bafana Bafana to come because we need the speed. But his time will come also.”
