Burkina Faso and Olympique Lyon striker Bertrand Traore has revealed that he would welcome a move to Manchester United.

Traore left Chelsea, where he struggled to establish himself as a regular, for Lyon at the start of the current season.

Traore was given his first team debut at Chelsea by Jose Mourinho and says he'd welcome a reunion with the Portuguese at Old Trafford.

"Manchester United? Why not? I will work hard and if opportunities open, why not?" he told Onze Mundial when asked about the prospect.

Traore also said of his experience with Chelsea: "I fought, I reached the first team. But, in Chelsea, for a player from the training centre, it's almost impossible to impose yourself as a starter. And I wanted to be a starter ... I'm proud of what I did there before I left.

"Leaving the academy, joining the first team and scoring goals in the pros, it's not bad."

Traore is set to feature for Burkina Faso when they take on Cape Verde in their final 2018 World Cup qualifier in Ouagadougou next Tuesday.
