Egypt national team coach Hector Cuper is adamant they can go to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and cause an upset.
Although he insists that no player has his spot guaranteed in the World Cup ahead of Egypt’s final game in the qualifiers against Ghana, he says they will play good football in Russia.
The Pharaohs are set to face Ghana in their final Group E encounter this weekend away in the West African nation.

“We are taking Ghana’s match very seriously to keep the momentum going although it doesn’t matter because we qualified already,” Cuper stated.
“No player has his spot guaranteed in the team; until we leave to Russia every player has to work a lot to earn his place.
“I am staying with the national team until World Cup for sure but anything could happen.
“I disagree with what is being said about the inconsistency in the goalkeepers’ performances. I always compare between their performances with their clubs and with their country, I may be wrong but I’m responsible.
“We will not go to the World Cup just for the sake of being there, we want to qualify and play good football. We believe in ourselves and in what we can do in the World Cup.
“All national teams that qualified are very strong therefore we don’t fear facing any team in particular.”
