Ghana international Andre Ayew has scooped the West Ham United Goal of the Month for October accolade, for his outstanding effort against Crystal Palace late last month.
The 27-year-old turned Scott Dann inside-out before firing an unstoppable left-footed shot into the roof of the net. The game, though, would end in heartbreak for the Hammers with Wilfried Zaha netting a stoppage time equalizer in a 2-2 draw.
Ayew has enjoyed a good run of form for the London club of late, notable netting a brace in a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup.
The former Swansea City man also grabbed an assist and hit the post in a 4-1 defeat to Liverpool which ultimately spelled the end of Slaven Bilic.
David Moyes has since taken over the reins at the club and Ayew will be hoping that the former Manchester United man will not be sending him back to the bench, with the Black Stars ace having completed 90 minutes in his last three outings.
