Botswana international Mogakolodi Ngele says he is looking forward to contributing to the success of his South African club Mamelodi Sundowns.

The forward returned to Sundowns following a successful season-long loan stint at Bidvest Wits where he won the Absa Premiership title and MTN8 Cup with the Johannesburg side.

“The most important thing is to win as a team, especially when you contribute, not watching from the stand. You must also contribute in the success of the team. There’s always competition everywhere. All I need to do is work hard,” Ngele told The Star.

The 27-year-old, who has been linked with South African clubs SuperSport United, Platinum Stars as well as Orlando Pirates, is not thinking about leaving Sundowns.

“No comment. I am still left with one year plus an option to extend with Sundowns. For me what is more important is to play. If I’m not playing there’s no use for me to stay. I have to find a place somewhere I can play. Let us wait and see. My focus is still here at Sundowns," he added.

Ngele, who played for Uniao Flamengo Santos and Township Rollers in the Botswana Premier League (BPL), is pleased to have sorted his work permit issues in South Africa.

”I have been waiting for my work permit, now it is sorted and I have to find a way in to the team. It has been difficult because I have been out of action for four months," Ngele explained.

The former Botswana youth international captained Sundowns' reserve team against SuperSport United in a Multichoice Diski Challenge (MDC) encounter on Saturday.

"It was the coach’s (Pitso Mosimane) instruction for me to play 60 minutes (at the MDC Festival). I’m tired now. I was also cramping but I will get there as time goes on,” Ngele concluded.
