“Zambia has made big progression. When I compare the game in Limbi, one year ago and I see how they played the qualification for the World Cup and how they played today against us,” the Belgian said.
“This is a young team with much talent. If they progress more they will become a very good team.”
The reigning African champions finished third in their qualifying group from one win, four draws and one loss - they have failed to qualify for the World Cup.
On the other hand, Zambia recorded two wins, two draws and as many defeats to finish runners up in the qualifiers.
In the group, it was Nigeria's Super Eagles that qualified for the highly anticipated World Cup next year in Russia.
