Ghana national team goalkeeper coach Richard Kingson reckons the Pharaohs of Egypt can reach the semi-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Kingson said the North Africans deserved to reach the global football tournament as they booked a spot for the first time since 1990.
The former Galatasaray, Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic keeper has congratulated coach Hector Cuper's side for reaching the World Cup and also wished them all the luck during tournament.
”I would like to congratulate all the Egyptians. They deserve to be there and we Ghanaians will support them from the beginning to the end with our prayers and everything,” Kinsgon told ON Sport.
”Me personally, I wish them and I will pray for them to get to the semi-finals or even win the World Cup for all Africans.
”I know it’s difficult but with hard work you can get there. If you believe in yourself and work hard you can do that.
“Ahmed Nagi [Egypt goalkeeping coach] has helped me a lot and I always look forward to working with him.”
Kingson was part of the Black Stars side that reached the World Cup quarter-finals in 2010 hosted in South Africa.
