German Bundesliga club Schalke 04 are reportedly looking at re-signing Ghanaian defender Baba Rahman in the January transfer window.
The Black Stars left-back has returned to training at parent club Chelsea following a major knee injury he suffered while on international duty at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Rahman spent the first half of last season on loan at Schalke and was a major hit with the German side, though he returned to Chelsea following his injury.
The Royal Blues tried to get Rahman back on loan at the start of the current campaign, but the 23-year-old was not fully recovered from his injury.
However, the Bundesliga outfit now believe they can convince Rahman to join them on loan for the rest of the season once the transfer window opens in the New Year.
"I would not rule out that we deal with Baba in the winter," Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel told German media.
