Nigeria roared to a 4-2 win over Argentina in an international friendly in Russia on Tuesday evening.

The Super Eagles flexed their muscles after going 2-0 down, with Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi simply on fire as the Africans claimed a memorable win over their fellow 2018 FIFA World Cup bound counterparts.

Victor Moses - who is still nursing a hamstring injury - missed the clash, but Nigeria didn't miss their Chelsea ace with two other English Premier League stars turning on the style.

Having employed a 5-3-2 formation, many eyebrows were raised prior to kick-off, but Nigeria made it work - with Iwobi and Co especially effective on the break in the second-half.

The formation should also favour Moses on his return with Antonio Conto having also employed three centre-backs and two wing-backs to great effect at Stamford Bridge.

In all, the result will come as a massive confidence boost for Gernot Rohr's troops as they continue their preparation for the upcoming showpiece.
