Mohamed Salah has been described as the 'signing of the season' by former West Ham United forward Dean Ashton.
Salah has been in an impressive form since arriving at Anfield from Roma in the European summer, with his early exploits attracting a lot of praise. He also scored the decisive goal as Egypt booked their return to the World Cup for the first time since 1990 in what has been a memorable few months for the winger.
The 25-year-old has scored 12 goals in 17 appearances across all competitions so far this season, with his record better than that of both Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez at this early stage of their respective Liverpool careers.
“Mohamed Salah is the best signing of the summer," Ashton told the Premier League's official website.
"He looks a totally different player from his time at Chelsea.
“I’ve been surprised by how quick, how direct he is, and he’s a better finisher than I thought.
”He’s really added to that Liverpool side.”
Salah endured a largely disappointing spell at Stamford Bridge, but a successful period in Italy has been followed by a rip-roaring start to his time with the Reds.
