Three Ugandan referees will hoist the country's flag as they are appointed to officiate during the upcoming CECAFA Cup and the 2018 CAF African Nations Championship.
The three referees who are FIFA licensed is Alex Muhabi, Dick Okello and Ronald Katenya. They will officiate at the 2017 CECAFA tournament scheduled for December 3-16 in Kenya.
Muhabi will be a centre referee while Okello and Katenya will officiate as assistant referees during the regional showpiece.

According to a statement from the Federation of Ugandan Football Associations, the trio will arrive in Nairobi on November 29 to undergo medical and fitness tests the following day.
In a similar development centre referee, Brian Miiro Nsubuga, has been appointed by the CAF to officiate at the 2018 CHAN tournament in Morocco.
Nsubuga is also a certified FIFA referee and will first head to Cairo for a course between November 27 and December 1.
Moreover, the appointed referees will undergo physical, theoretical and medical tests.
Nsubuga becomes the second Ugandan referee to officiate at the CHAN tournament after Mark Ssonko in Rwanda in 2016.
