As they return to their English Premier League schedule this weekend, Liverpool have welcomed back their star attacker in Senegal's Sadio Mane.

The Senegal international forward was ruled out of the final Group C match of their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa on Tuesday due to a recurring hamstring injury.

A statement from the club indicated that the 25-year-old was set to be monitored before returning to the field of play ahead of their match against Southampton at home.

The Reds have since received a massive boost on Thursday after the 'Smiling Assassin' was cleared to take part in full training.

Although both the national team and the club feared the injury could have taken a while to heal, it seems Mane has shaken off the injury.

The winger was cleared to resume full training after two days of rehabilitation and is now in line to play on Saturday against his former club.
