Botswana side Township Rollers have responded to the reports linking Ivan Ntege to South African giants Orlando Pirates.
The Ugandan international joined Rollers prior to the current season and he has reportedly attracted interest from the Buccaneers.
Ntege’s Rollers teammate Tshepo Matete, who is a fan-favorite at Popa, is said to be on the radar of South African club AmaZulu.
Rollers Public Relations Officer (PRO) Bafana Pheto has told Sunday Standard that they will not stand in any player’s way.
The Popa official stated that it is their wish to witness players playing in big leagues after donning the Rollers jersey.
“We are open to offers regarding any of our players and encourage our players to work hard to gain recognition in big leagues,” Pheto said.
The two Absa Premiership clubs are yet to officially contact Rollers regarding the services of the Rollers duo.
“We will not stand in any way of players if offers come forth but at the moment we have not heard anything formal but aware of such rumours,” he added.
South African midfielder Matete also joined Rollers prior to the current campaign.
