Zamalek ex-board member has accused president Mortada Mansour of harassing election candidates ahead of the club's elections this month.
Ahmed Soliman is also threatening to forfeit Zamalek’s current elections, saying some members were removed from the elections set for November 23 and 24.
The accusation comes after the Egyptian Olympic Committee recently decided to eliminate Hany El-Attal, who is a candidate in Soliman’s list as Vice President after the club's board requested to stop El-Attal from running in the elections after accusing him of fraud.
“Hany El-Attal was removed from elections after being accused of fraud without a court ruling. He was a board member and a member of the club for the past 15 years,” Soliman told ON Sport TV channel.
“Members of my list are respectful people who should not face such hurdles.
“All the list’s members faced harassments and false accusations because we decided to run against Mansour.
“We’ve filed lawsuits against him after his violations but found no response.”
