Leicester City’s Algerian attacker Riyad Mahrez is set to be the subject of a fresh transfer battle in January.
The Fennec Foxes player put in a transfer request during the European summer but failed to get a move away from the King Power Stadium, with Roma chief Monchi recently revealing that both the Italian side and Spanish giants Barcelona had offers turned down by Leicester.
According to Don Balon, Manchester City are keen on recruiting the 26-year-old to add depth to their squad for the second half of the season.
London giants Arsenal and Chelsea are also said to be keen on recruiting an attacking midfielder, and the former PFA Players’ Player of the Year would fit the bill for both the Gunners and the Blues.
City manager Pep Guardiola was seen talking with Mahrez following his team's 2-0 victory over the Foxes on Saturday.
Guardiola is seeking a replacement for Spanish winger Jesus Navas, who returned to Sevilla in August after a four-year spell in Manchester.
