Chiefs shot-stopper Itumeleng Khune was the busier of the two goalkeepers in the first-half as the hosts searched for the opening goal.
Siyethemba Mnguni tried his luck from range in the sixth minute and Khune made a decent save to deny the AmaZulu midfielder.
