Ex-Ugandan national team goalkeeper Posnett Omony has landed a job in the South African Premier Soccer League as Chippa United's goalkeeper coach.

The club confirmed the appointment of the former glove man at the start of this week, and he was on the bench in their fixture against Free State Stars on Wednesday.

Before his appointment the former Black Leopards and Bloemfontein Celtic keeper was training keepers in the South African National First Division with Mthatha Bucks.

Over a year ago Omony became a fully trained and qualified goalkeeper coach after completing a goalkeeping course organised by the South Africa Football Association (SAFA).

Omony featured 11 times for the Cranes and also represented South African sides such as Vasco Da Gama and lately Roses United Football Club before calling it quits in 2014.

The 34-year-old will now work with coach Teboho Moloi's bench at the Chilli Boys and will train the likes of Brighton Mhlongo and Daniel Akpeyi.
