Manchester United’s Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly is set to return from injury this weekend when the Red Devils face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.
The Elephants centre-back missed United’s 4-1 win over Newcastle United last weekend and Wednesday night’s UEFA Champions League clash at Basel due to a leg muscle injury.
However, manager Jose Mourinho revealed that the West African is in line to return when the Seagulls visit Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
“Bailly I think has a chance for the weekend,” confirmed Mourinho in midweek, with the Portuguese also happy to welcome back Marcos Rojo.
Bailly has been one of United’s most reliable defenders this season, with his absence sorely felt on the occasions he has been unavailable.
The Ivorian, if he does make the team against Brighton, will face a stern physical test against veteran striker Glenn Murray.
