Golden Arrows will look to return to winning form in the Absa Premiership when they host Cape Town City at Princess Magogo Stadium on 25 November 2017, kick-off at 20h15.

Arrows have gone six league matches without a win after they held Orlando Pirates to a 0-0 draw in Soweto on November 21. The Durban side’s last victory came at Platinum Stars back in September, while they have drawn no less than seven of their 11 league matches so far.

Abafana Bes’thende can at least boast an unbeaten home record, though one win and three draws from four turns as host will not be considered a good enough return by coach Clinton Larsen, who will want to see his side convert more stalemates into victories.

City played to a 1-1 draw at home to high-flying Baroka on November 21, with Benni McCarthy’s side needing a second-half equaliser from Craig Martin to salvage a point from the match. It was the Cape Town side’s first draw of the 2017/18 league season.

The Citizens have had mixed results on the road so far this season, recording wins over Bidvest Wits and Ajax Cape Town while also suffering defeats to Orlando Pirates and Chippa United, to claim six points from a possible 12 in away games.

In head-to-head stats, Arrows and City have met in just two previous league matches. Both of those encounters took place last season, with Abafana Bes’thende winning 2-0 at home in the first half of the campaign, while the return game saw the Citizens claim a 1-0 triumph in Cape Town.

Arrows’ line-up from their 0-0 draw with Pirates on November 21: Gumede, Mngwengwe, Mzava, S. Dube, Nkombelo, Cele, Shongwe (Bilankulu 58'), Sibiya (Fikizolo 46'), Mahachi (Lamola 71'), Magubane, Mutizwa.

Cape Town City’s line-up from their 1-1 draw with Baroka on November 21: Stephens, Seedat, Johannes, Fielies, Mkhize, Putsche, Matsi, Modise (Patosi 56'), Lakay (Masina 70'), Martin, Koapeng (Gumede 86').
