Algeria national team coach Rabah Madjer will attend this evening’s Ligue 1 capital derby clash between MC Alger and USM Alger.

The match will be staged at the 5 July Stadium in Algiers and sees hosts and fourth-placed MCA looking to make up ground on league leaders CS Constantine, while USMA are looking to lift themselves out of a lowly 12th place.

Madjer’s assistants, Djamel Menad and Meziane Ighil, have been travelling all around Algeria attending domestic Ligue 1 matches to scout players for the Fennec Foxes, and they will also be in attendance for the match.

Le Buteur reports that the likes of USMA’s Rafik Chafai, Oussama Darfalou and Zoheir Abdellaoui, as well as MCA’s Rachid Bouhenna, Sofiane Bendebka and Hichem Nekkache will be under the microscope of the Fennec Foxes’ coaches.

Madjer is reportedly in search of “rare birds” as he seeks to strengthen the Algerian national team following their disastrous 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign.
