As they search for a new coach, Federação Moçambicana de Futebol is reportedly locked in talks with Mart Nooit to replace Abel Xavier.
Media reports suggest that the Mambas of Mozambique will have a new mentor as Nooit is seen as a perfect candidate to take over the reins.
Sources close to Soka25 East indicate that ex-national team coach Martinus Ingatious Mart Nooij and Diamantino Miranda are running for the hot seat to succeed Xavier.
Apart from the two well-known coaches, the FMF is also in talks with Ukraine's Viktor Bondarenko and ex-Portugal international Manuel Michando.
FMF boss Feizal Sidat has reportedly had talks with Nooij and the candidate is set to meet the Sports Minister to finalise the deal.
The Dutch mentor previously led Tanzania, Burkina Faso’s U20 team at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship as well as Ethiopian giants St. George FC.
Should he get the job, Nooj will lead the Mambas for the second time after leading them to the 2010 CAF African Cup of Nations in Angola.
