SuperSport United midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane says his side must move on from their CAF Confederation Cup final defeat.
The Tshwane side were beaten 2-1 on aggregate by DR Congo giants TP Mazembe across the past two weekends, in their first continental cup final.
And they have had little time to reflect on the defeat, as this evening they begin the process of catching up missed games in the Absa Premiership.
United will host Ajax Cape Town at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit and ‘Yeye’ believes they must switch focus quickly to the challenges which lie ahead of them in the domestic competition.
“We've recovered because we know that this game is important and the weekend chapter we have closed it,” said Letsholonyane, as quoted by Kick-Off.
“We are looking forward to the new one which is competing in the league.”
Ajax have struggled to find top gear this season, but the United midfielder is wary of underestimating them.
“They are definitely a threat because they have not been doing well and getting the results they want.
“But we know that on any given day they can upset any team, so we know that they are not a bad team. It is just they are not getting good results.
“We will be cautious and hope that we do well on the day to get maximum points at the end of the day.
“We take this game as another game that we play. It's not really about bouncing back or anything. It's about competing and winning the game.”
