Swaziland and Malawi will get the 2017 U-20 Cosafa Cup underway when they meet in the opening Group A match on Wednesday. Kick-off is set for 11h30 CAT at the Arthur Davies Stadium.

Swaziland will be looking for an improved performance compared to last year’s showing at the finals in South Africa, where they finished third in their group after beating Botswana but losing to the host team and Lesotho.

Malawi also exited the 2016 competition early, picking up a draw to Zimbabwe and a defeat at the hands of eventual champions Zambia in their three-team group.

Neither side has ever won the U-20 Cosafa Cup and both will be looking for the three points on offer, given that the other teams in Group A are hosts Zambia and guests Uganda.

The other group match will see the young Chipolopolo and the Cranes meet at the same venue later in the day, with kick-off at 17h30
