Latest information regarding the future of Indomitable Lions coach Hugo Broos is that the Federation of Cameroon Football has parted ways with the Belgian.
Media reports doing the rounds indicate that Broos has vacated his coaching position, less than a year after leading the Indomitable Lions to 2017 CAF Africa Cup of Nations glory.
Broos led the side to continental dominance in Gabon early this year, but failed to reach the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
According to a statement, FECAFOOT decided to part ways with the outspoken coach after failing to qualify for the global showpiece.
“In a decision signed on 4 December 2017, the FECAFOOT Standards Committee terminates the contract of the Belgian technician to head the Cameroon national team,” said FECAFOOT according to Cameroon-Info.net
"Mr Broos could not lead Cameroon to the 2018 World Cup in Russia."
Furthermore, the dismal performance at the 2017 FIFA Confederation Cup in Russia in June convinced the country's FA to fire the 65-year-old manager.
Broos had been hoping for a contract extension to take the 2019 CAF AFCON hosts to the tournament on home soil.
