Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic has praised SuperSport United and cited their experience after the teams played to a goalless draw in an Absa Premiership clash on Tuesday evening.
The match saw both teams miss several good scoring opportunities on a sodden Orlando Stadium pitch, but ‘Micho’ was left satisfied with the result against a strong opponent.
"We have played one very experienced team that had over 20 international games and you could see how they could control themselves throughout the game competitively,” he told SuperSport TV cameras after the match.
“You could see that playing all over Africa has put mileage in their legs and they are having a great experience [sic].
"They had initiative in the first half in creating chances. We also had one on the other side. At half-time, we regrouped."
He added: "I think that the game could have gone either way. I regret that it didn't go our way, because the boys really gave their best in today's game."
The teams will be in league action again this weekend, with Pirates and United hosting AmaZulu and Cape Town City respectively.
