Burkina Faso ace out to follow in Bertrand Traore's footsteps

Burkina Faso national Hassane Bande is eager to follow in the path of fellow countryman Bertrand Traore after it was confirmed that he will be joining Ajax Amsterdam at the conclusion of the current campaign.

Bande, 19, will join the Dutch giants on a five-year-deal after the Eredivisie club forked out in the region of €10 million to lure the wing-wizard from Belgium top-flight club KV Mechelen.

The Ouagadougou-born speedster has scored nine goals in 15 appearances across all competitions for his club this season, with his performances duly earning him a first international cap as The Stallions cruised to a 4-0 hammering of Cape Verde.

Bande will be eager to replicate the impact made by Traore who scored 13 goals in 39 appearances for Ajax Amsterdam last season, as they reached the Europa League final.
