Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar was the star of the show for Porto in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Indomitable Lions captain netted two goals as his Portuguese side defeated Monaco 5-2 at home to secure a place in the last 16 of the elite competition.
Aboubakar netted in the ninth and 33rd minute to put Porto two goals up, before providing an assist for the third - scored by Algerian Yacine Brahimi.
Further strikes from Alex Telles and Tiquinho, as well as replies from Monaco’s Kamil Glik and Radamel Falcao completed the scoring.
Porto finished second in Group G behind Besiktas and will await their fate in the last 16 draw, which will be conducted next week Thursday in Nyon, Switzerland.
Aboubakar’s team will be drawn against one of the other seven group winners: Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Roma, Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
