Namibia have taken control of Group C at the 2017 U-20 Cosafa Cup after they defeated Angola 1-0 at Arthur Davies Stadium on Friday.

Enzo Mungendje scored the only goal of the game, tucking home from the rebound of a free kick in the 14th minute to see the young Brave Warriors to victory.

The result sees Namibia rise to the top of the group on three points, following the goalless stalemate between Lesotho and Zimbabwe on Thursday. Angola are placed last.

Namibia will be back in action on Sunday when they face Lesotho at Nkana Stadium (12h00 CAT), while Angola will need to get a positive result against Zimbabwe at the same venue later in the day (15h00).

The U-20 Cosafa Cup will have two further matches on Friday, as Uganda face Swaziland (14h30) and hosts Zambia take on Malawi - both are Group A clashes.
