Zimbabwe have joined Lesotho at the top of Group C at the 2017 U-20 Cosafa Cup after they defeated Angola 1-0 at Nkana Stadium on Sunday.
The young Warriors claimed all three points thanks to King Nsama’s injury-time goal at the end of the game, condemning Angola to a second successive loss after they were beaten by Namibia by the same score on Friday.
As a result of the win, Zimbabwe join Lesotho at the top of Group C on four points. They will wrap up their first round action by facing Namibia at Nkana Stadium on Tuesday, while Lesotho will battle Angola at Arthur Davies Stadium at the same time.
The matches will decide who advances to the semifinals, with only the group winners guaranteed a place in the final four at the junior regional tournament.
