South Africa and Egypt will meet for a Group B decider at the 2017 U-20 Cosafa Cup on Monday afternoon. The teams will clash at the Nkana Stadium, with kick-off set for 15h00 CAT.
This encounter is very much a showdown for a place in the semifinals, with the teams deadlocked at the top of their pool.
Both Amajita and the young Pharaohs have six points, with each having scored three goals and conceded zero. The former edged Mozambique 1-0 in their last match on Saturday, while the latter ousted Mauritius 2-0.
With only the group winners guaranteed a place in the semifinal, this is a North-v-South battle which neither side can afford to lose.
South Africa will look to the likes of Luvoyo Mkatshana, who scored the winner against the young Mambas, and double goal-scorer Reeve Frosler for inspiration, while Egypt can call on the prowess of forward Abdelrahiman Elrayash - the striker netted twice in their victory this past weekend.
The other Group B game between Mauritius and Mozambique will be played concurrently at the Arthur Davies Stadium on Monday afternoon - it is a dead-rubber, with both teams mathematically eliminated.
