Libya will go all out to bag a win as they face Zanzibar on Monday in their final Group A match of the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge.

The encounter is a must-win for the Mediterranean Knights, but they will hope to see the hosts Kenya losing to Tanzania.

A win will secure a spot in the semifinals and the North Africans will do everything to defeat the group’s leaders.

Having played three matches, Libya sits at number four in the group with three points, the same number of draws against Kenya, Rwanda and the Taifa Stars.

For the East Africans, Zanzibar have shocked many in the tournament as they are yet to taste defeat and have sealed their spot in the semifinals.

They have two wins and one draw, they beat the Amavubi of Rwanda and Tanzania, whilst drawing against Kenya.

A win for them will elevate them to 10 points to set up a semifinal clash against the Group B winner, which is between Uganda and Burundi.

This will be the first competitive encounter between the two nations, but both sides will want a win for different reasons.

Zanzibar will want to wrap their group stage campaign with an unbeaten record whilst Libya are out to eliminate Kenya from the race to the semis.

The match is set to get underway at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos at 14:00 on Monday afternoon.
