Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined West Ham United in the race to sign the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) international.
Bakambu has been in top form for his Spanish club Villarreal this season - having scored 12 goals in 18 games in all competitions.
According to Sport.fr, English Premier League (EPL) clubs Crystal Palace and West Ham have been keeping tabs on Bakambu.
However, top EPL side Tottenham are also interested now ahead of next month's Transfer Window.
It is said that the 26-year-old forward could come at a huge price, with a €40million (£35million) asking price on his head.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly considering other options in attack after Spanish striker Fernando Llorente's poor start to life in North London.
Llorente has scored only one goal in 18 competitive matches since his move from EPL outfit Swansea City.
Bakambu recently signed a new deal with Villarreal which is due to expire in 2022.
