Nigerian international striker Odion Ighalo has revealed that plans are going well to launch the Odion Ighalo Orphanage.

The Super Eagles hitman announced he will launch the home for orphans on Saturday, December 16 in Lagos.

Ighalo posted on his social media page that an event was held in China where there was an outreach at an orphanage before his launch this weekend.

Ighalo is currently on the books of a Chinese side, Yatai Changchun, and has revived his career in the Super League by finding the back of the net on a regular basis.

Ahead of the launch in Lagos, he said when a man is blessed and becomes a blessing to others, he becomes even more blessed.

“When you are blessed and become a blessing to others, you will be more blessed. Let us live a blessed life,” said Ighalo on Twitter.

“Join us at the Opening Ceremony of Ighalo Orphanage Home on Sat the 16th of Dec 2017, by 12 noon at the Bespoke Centre Sabitex road Lekki Epe Express Way.”

One of his Twitter followers, Dr. Sonnie Badu D.D, ‏thanked the former Watford striker and said he is proud of the forward.

“To my younger brother @ighalojude I am so proud of you. Thanks for all you are doing for the poor and needy. May Jehovah himself reward you. The Bible says blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercies….it shall be well with you in JESUS name .. #DrBadu.”
