Nigerian-Italian striker Stefano Okaka hopes to leave Watford in the January transfer window but remain in the Premier League, according to the player’s brother.
Carlo Okaka, Stefano’s brother and agent, has confirmed the Italian international’s desire to leave the Hornets, but insists he wants to remain in England.
He told TMW: "Stefano wants to stay in the Premier, he did a year of Jupiler League with 17 goals to get back in.
“But it's also true that he's not playing, he only came on for 10 minutes against Everton because (Troy) Deeney was suspended for three days.
“He will leave to play, to show the player he is from now to the end of his career."
Of claims of a collapsed move to Udinese in August, Carlo insists he was unaware of the rumours.
"I cannot know that, but he has always been very consistent, he said he did not want to play anywhere but in the Premier, there were other interests but his idea was always to stay."
