BBC African Footballer of the Year Mohamed Salah has earned the ultimate praise and recognition from one of the world's best ever players.The Egyptian has enjoyed a phenomenal year for both club and country, with his exploits rewarded as he clinched the prestigious accolade earlier this week.
From scoring the decisive goal that sealed the Pharaohs place at a first FIFA World Cup in a generation, to netting 19 goals in his opening 25 appearances for Liverpool following his move from AS Roma.

The 25-year-old's form has attracted interest from across the globe, and legendary Brazilian forward, Pele, has been watching and he too can't wait to watch Salah in action at the upcoming showpiece in Russia.
Egypt have been drawn in Group A alongside the hosts, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay.
