Kaizer Chiefs head coach Steve Komphela is not getting carried away by Mamelodi Sundowns blistering start to the Absa Premiership season.
The Brazilians are currently sit six points better off than the Amakhosi with Pitso Mosimane's troops having recorded three straight wins in South Africa's top-flight to move clear atop the league summit, as we approach the halfway point of the season.
Komphela, though, believes claims suggesting that Sundowns are already league champions are a tad premature.

“If you asked the same question when they had gone through a patch where they were not winning, would you have said Sundowns are relegation candidates? No,” Komphela is quoted as saying.
“The same should apply now in terms of looking at it in a positive light. There’s still a long way to go.”
The Amakhosi welcome Ajax Cape Town to the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday evening, eager to bring a positive end to what has been a frustrating year for the Glamour Boys faithful.
“We should close the year positively. We need to get a win as well and, if I remember well, we haven’t won at home for whatever reason," Komphela added.
“It’s important to go to Durban against a very good Ajax team, coached by a very good coach [Stanley Menzo], and try to win a match," he concluded.
