This was confirmed by City manager Paul Clement has confirmed. Bony pulled up in discomfort at the beginning of the game and was substituted after four minutes.
Clement is unsure of the extent of the 29-Year-old striker’s hamstring injury, though he remains hopeful. City lost 3-1 to Everton at the Goodison Park.
“It was a strange one,” Clement told club website.
“It was only two minutes into the game and I don’t know what action he had done at that point to create the injury.
“He has injured his hamstring but how significant it is we are not sure,” the tactician continued.
“Hamstring injuries are normally a minimum of seven to 10 days, but we will have to see if it is worse than that.”
Bony is now a major doubt for Saturday’s league clash against Crystal Palace.
He has scored twice in eight appearances for City this season.
