Stéphane Mbia eyes European return

Cameroon international Stéphane Mbia has expressed his desire to make a return to European football.

The 31-year-old is currently plying his trade in the Chinese Super League for Hebei China Fortune, but is eager to play in Europe's premier competition once more.

Mbia enjoyed successful spells at most notable Olympique Marseille and Sevilla with who he clinched successive Europe League titles, before a move to Trabzonspor in Turkey and then China.

"The door is open, I miss the Champions League, I want to play it next year. I've not been approached or asked because I'm under contract," Mbia told SFR Sport.
