Guinea and RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita will spend the Christmas break with family in Leipzig, Germany.
The Liverpool-bound midfielder in 2018 took time to reflect on their debut German Budesliga campaign.
He said they managed to keep their composure even in tough times and their unity as a team has helped them so far.
The Syli Nationale international revealed that his highlight in 2017 was scoring against Hamburg and that being sent off is always breaking his heart.
“We had a couple of little injury problems but essentially we’re very satisfied with where we are in the table,” he tells Bundesliga.
“Even in the more difficult moments we kept our cool. Since the start of the season we've always been in the top five, which also underlines our positive development.
“My (2017 highlight) goal to make it 1-0 against Hamburg in September, when, after a quick free-kick I fired the ball into the net with a great shot. That was a great experience.
“My sending off against Bayern (Munich) in the DFB Cup. I felt very good and was playing well too. That red card hurt me.
“Before I leave Leipzig [for Liverpool] next summer, I would really like to win against Bayern once. That’s my goal. It’s always nice to win against big teams.”
However, the 22-year-old will want to improve on his contribution when they resume their Bundesliga campaign against Schalke 04 at home in January 13 2018.
