Ghana international Daniel Amartey has edged himself closer to leaving Leicester City following a disastrous cameo off the bench in a 2-2 draw against Manchester United in the English Premier League on Saturday evening.

The 23-year-old made his way onto the pitch in the 57th minute, but would be ordered to the changing room a mere 16 minutes later following two bookable offences - to leave the Foxes faithful fuming.

In what was only his second Premier League appearance of the season - a first since the opening day of the campaign - Amartey would've been eager to prove a point off the bench.

The burly defender, though. was sent for an early shower following two reckless challenges on Ashley Young and Marcus Rashford respectively - leaving the match official with little choice but to brandish red.

Amartey, who has been linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium, has not done himself any favours in convincing the Leicester City hierarchy of keeping him at the club and will now only play again in the New Year.
