Sébastien Desabre has been appointed as the new head coach of the Ugandan national football team.

The Frenchman, who has coached across Africa for the past seven years, takes over the reins from Moses Basena.

Basena served as interim boss following the resignation of Milutin Sredojevic back in July. 'Micho' is currently in charge of Absa Premiership club Orlando Pirates.

Desabre, 41, was officially unveiled on Thursday, having most recently served as head coach to Egyptian top-flight club Ismaily from whom he resigned before taking over the Cranes post.
