Leicester City manager Claude Puel has expressed his delight at the attitude shown by Algerian striker Islam Slimani.
The 29-year-old Fennec Foxes player has struggled to break into the first team this season, but on Monday he was handed a start in their home clash against Huddersfield.
The former Sporting player responded with his first Premier League goal of the campaign and an impressive showing in the absence of Jamie Vardy.
“I am happy of the game of Slim,” said Puel in the wake of the victory over the Terriers.
“He had a good game, showed his quality, and he scored a fantastic goal.
“He has kept a positive attitude in the training session and he got his reward today with his goal, but also he played good football.
“It was amazing to see him at this level and with this quality and positive outlook.”
Slimani will hope to keep his place in the Foxes’ XI for their FA Cup clash away to Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
