Everton are set to make a transfer bid for Nice’s Ivorian midfield Jean-Michael Seri, according to France Football.
The 26-year-old is in demand after famously missing out on a move to Barcelona at the start of the current season.
The Elephants man was all set to join the Catalans before they pulled the plug on the move, instead focusing their efforts on Paulinho and a failed bid for Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho.
Everton manager Sam Allardyce has approved the move as he seeks to add "more technical certainty" to his midfield.
However, he faces stiff competition for the player from Paris Saint-Germain, with the Daily Mail claiming the capital giants are also in the running for Seri’s signature.
While still angry over the collapse of his Barca move, Seri has spoken of an ambition to play in England over the past year.
